Job Summary of Commercial Delivery Driver:
Drivers will establish positive relationships with customers and ensure their needs are met on an assigned route schedule.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Commercial Delivery Driver:
- Maneuver a tractor-trailer carefully to deliver merchandise to designated customer sites.
- Undertake the manual unloading and distribution of a diverse range of goods, including meats, vegetables, frozen products, groceries, and dry items.
- Develop and maintain positive customer relationships through amiable interactions.
- Familiarize yourself with client systems to deliver services that meet their needs and exceed their expectations.
- Adhere to the specified delivery routes and ensure timely completion according to the deadlines.
- Preserve a clean driving record and adhere to all traffic laws and ordinances.
- Conduct pre-travel and post-travel examinations of vehicles.
Qualifications and Experience of Commercial Delivery Driver:
- To qualify, participants must be 21 years old or older.
- Clear the necessary background check and drug screening prior to commencing employment.
- Maintain a valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) in conjunction with a driving record that is clear.
- Proficiency in articulating thoughts in English.
- Ability to lift, push, or move products weighing 40-60 pounds, and up to 100 pounds repeatedly.
- Availability to work extra hours during weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
- One year of customer delivery service proficiency.
- Well-versed in hand cart and hand truck tasks through six months of experience.
- Working for six months within the Food and Beverage field.
- Establishing a persistent work history lasting for a 24-month duration.
